Dostana 2: Janhvi Kapoor’s New Co-star Lakshya Has Changed His Name Thrice In Five Years, Here’s Why

We woke up to the pleasantly surprising news of TV actor Lakshya joining the Dharma Family for the much-in-news upcoming flick, Dostana 2, that stars Kartik Aryan and Janhvi Kapoor. Karan Johar himself introduced the newbie to the world by sharing a post on social media and captioning it, "Both happy and excited to introduce the new kid on the Dharma block! LAKSHYA will be making his debut with us in #DOSTANA2 and from thereon, we hope to start a solid cinematic journey together! Please welcome #Lakshya and shower him with all your love and blessings..." Dharma Productions official Twitter page also posted, "This family just got bigger! Welcoming #Lakshya"

Since then internet has been buzzing about Karan’s ‘new kid.’ Many also said that the producer who is known to launch star kids like Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and others is launching yet another star kid. But in his another tweet KJo clarified that the rumours of Lakshya being a starkid are untrue. "Yes I woke up to several inquiries asking about his film industry connections!!! He is NOT from the business and went through a legit audition process !! Am grateful to Shanoo Sharma for introducing LAKSHYA to @DharmaMovies".

And now we have come up with an interesting scoop around the debutante’s name. So Lakshya, is a famous televison actor, previously known as Laksh Lalwani. The actor who started his career in 2015 with the TV show Warrior High has also been part of many popular TV shows like Adhuri Kahani Hamari, Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil and Porus. Laksh dropped his surname officially in 2016, at that time he said, "No one suggested or influenced me to drop my surname. There is no numerology attached to my decision as I don’t believe in it. I strongly feel it is destiny and hard work which make all the difference. It’s simply an ideology which attracted me,” he had said.

And now when the actor is making his Bollywood debut with one of the biggest banners there is, he has changed the spelling of his name, again. This time to Lakshya. In fact the actor who used to enjoy a great fan following on social media has completely washed out his Instagram page. All the old posts are gone and what remains is just the one post announcing his arrival in Bollywood.
